THE SLINGSHOT AND THE SONGBIRD

Spring arrived with its warm yellow and pink sunlight (Sahdieh Dehfoh heh Dedeehl-dek’aleh).

I spent days and hours looking for the right willow tree (K’ah D’zah).

We all had our favourite fishing spots and we raised all kinds of heck with those fish.

The rock sailed in slow motion as I watched it speed toward its target.

It was a long time before I ever touched a slingshot again.
